Job Description

The Backend Enterprise squad works with open source, time series databases as well as with the Grafana codebase, building functionality and companion plugins in order to support the needs of enterprises and organisations with large deployments.

Adding enterprise-specific multi-tenancy features, security and compliance features, or features to allow greater insight into the use of the system are built and supported by the squad. The daily work often spans both open source and proprietary code. The systems the squad works on scale from a few nodes to hundreds, supporting millions of metrics with high uptime requirements. This requires thoughtful decisions regarding architecture, resilience and performance.

What you'll work on:

As a Frontend Engineer working primarily on the Backend Enterprise squad, you’ll understand the functionality of the backend services, at times contribute to API design and implementation, and connect the user to the backend API through the companion plugins. You’ll collaborate with UX & graphic designers to turn their designs into great user experiences, implementing visual designs using clean, reusable components.

You are eager to learn and grow, and stay on top of the latest developments in web technologies
You enjoy looking at the big picture: taking a solution from writing the design docs to shipping it to production and collecting feedback
Experience building applications with React using TypeScript
Strong proficiency in Javascript, HTML and CSS
Good understanding of how to write solid, maintainable and easy-to-read code.
