Front End Engineer

We are seeking a Front End Engineer to build secure, reliable and scalable services to bring genomic medicine to everyday care delivery! Our platform of products include a resource center for patients, care management and test curation engines for providers. You will develop high quality and maintainable code, crunch through large amounts of data. You know when to be scrappy for prototyping but also being diligent for production. You are able to balance concurrent development of small incremental features with larger product and architectural evolution. You have a keen sense and high standards for how your work is related to the larger system.

Responsibilities

Build scalable and efficient user interfaces for both external users (patients and providers) and internal (clinical team).
Own end-to-end feature development from implementation to production working collaboratively with backend and data engineers.
Build a strong partnership with product and design team on the design, prototyping, and implementation of efficient and elegant user interfaces
Stay current on the ever evolving technology landscape of web based UIs and adopt novel solutions where required
Participate and contribute to the agile sprint process and standups

Requirements

Must Have:

3+ years of experience in creating powerful yet simple-to-use interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
2+ years of experience with one or more of JavaScript frameworks (such as React.js, Backbone.js, Angular.js, Vue.js or Ember)
Experience working with other frontend developers, UX designers and backend developers
Being self-driven to bring features from conception to production
Knowledge with issues of web performance, availability, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

2+ years of end-to-end experience using a frontend stack such as React.js+Redux+Webpack+NPM is s strong plus
Prior startup experience is preferred
