Job Description

HOW YOU'LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Front End Developer in Atlanta, Georgia.

Role Requirements:

  • Contribute to software design, software development, and overall product lifecycle for Delta products.
  • Field questions from other product teams and encourage cross-team collaboration. Be involved in product configuration, performance tuning and testing, as well as production monitoring.
  • Demonstrate expertise around modern software design and development.
  • Collaborate and pair with other product team members (UX designers, architects, and product management) to create secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions.
  • Write custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases.
  • Create meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that issues are captured and addressed proactively.
  • Identify unsecured code areas and implement fixes as they are discovered with or without tooling. Identify, implement, and share technical solutions that can be used across the portfolio.
  • Identify product enhancements to create a better experience for the end users.
  • Act as the point of contact for technical issues, create documentation, and monitor service levels.
  • Research and/or investigate technical issues impacting the organization and recommend solutions.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations etc., in order to advise others of strategic technology direction.
  • Provide application support for software running in production.
  • Review the performance and capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing.
  • Triage high priority issues and outages as they arise.
  • Participate in learning activities around AWS cloud, Agile software development, and development of core practices.


Telecommuting is permitted two to three days per week.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and two years of experience with software development or related. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • TypeScript, JavaScript, and Angular 4+, including component mindset, data/method binding, modular/clean code, user authentication & authorization, and security;
  • RxJS Observables and Angular Component Dev Kit;
  • Software development using Agile Scrum methodology;
  • Implementing responsive web design, interactive graphs, and charts;
  • Integration with API/Microservices;
  • Test-driven development and effective unit test creation using Jasmine, Karma and Protractor
