Background The planned spin-off of NETGEAR’s Arlo business has created an opening for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, who will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning and analysis for the Americas Sales and Marketing organization. In this highly commercial role, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic, fast changing environment and will possess the influencing skills and determination necessary to shape what is a key role within the Worldwide Financial Planning & Analysis team. Strong decision making skills, a proven track record of collaboration among functional groups and strong people management and development skills are key requirements for this role. Job Responsibilities • Provide financial support for the Americas Sales and Marketing Channels o Develop and prepare Annual Operating Plans, Mid-Year plans, Quarterly forecasts, Quarterly Business Review materials - including information gathering and consolidation, analysis, submissions and presentation packages/materials o Partner with Americas Sales VP and Channel VPs to help them deliver Sales and Profit goals o Work with cross functional teams (Sales, Product Marketing & Operations) to help deliver quarterly Shipment and POS (sell through) forecasts.
Candidate must be able to work proactively and collaboratively with these teams o Execute sound business decision making in a fast paced environment (business proposals, new investments, trend analysis, judgment calls and recommendations on key promotional drives, etc) o Develop new initiatives to increase Revenue and improve Profit • Implement processes and controls to improve forecast accuracy and minimize spending surprises • Streamline processes and automate business reporting • Develop, mentor, and manage a team of two Analysts Experience and Attributes • Bachelor’s degreerequired, preferably in accounting or finance. Professional Accounting qualification, MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics etc. preferred • Minimum 10 years combined financial analysis and/or accounting experience, preferably within Consumer Electronics/Tech industry sectors • Proven track record of managing and developing teams of professional staff • Committed believer in the importance of succession planning, development and progression of the team • Comfortable with ambiguity while motivated to reduce its impact on the business • Team Player, Detail Oriented, and solid business decision maker • Solid project management skills as job requires collaboration with cross functional team • Solid understanding of P&L statements and variables affecting profitability • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Presents ideas and information in a concise, well-organized manner • Identifies business needs and proposes effective solutions • Maintains high performance standards • Manages time well, appropriately prioritizes tasks and is flexible on work assignments • Is very familiar with/has extensive experience supporting Sales Teams • Proficient with Excel, Oracle, Tableau Reporting systems.
