PRIMARY PURPOSE: To be responsible for profitably, ethically and scientifically investigating events, systems, devices and/or failures and providing expert opinions; to provide guidance and leadership on complex engineering assignments.
This expert will have specific experience and expertise with the failure analysis of materials (including metals and polymers).
The ideal candidate will have a secondary discipline of expertise in forensic engineering (with a PE license).
This position will receive assignments/work from existing internal experts (engineers and fire investigators) as well as directly from external clients.
This hire will be to establish and grow a materials analysis practice within EFI Global.

Experience
At least five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required, including two (2) years of engineering experience specifically in failure analysis and forensic engineering. Experience with insurance and/or risk management also considered.
