The most important thing we can deliver to our customers is a safe product - this person will have a direct hand in delivering a fantastic product to our customers dinner table. As the go to Food Safety center of excellence in our Newark Distribution Center, this person will become an instrumental part of building out the department from scratch and become the main line of defense in maintaining and improving the safety of our product, people, and facilities. This is a unique opportunity to drive the development of a brand new department within a young growing company.

You will...

· Take on full ownership of strategic food safety projects and drive improvements at a national reach

· Lead in the development of the Food Safety Improvement Road Map

· Support team of QA Manager and supervisors at Newark distribution center

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company FSQA requirements

· Develop and implement new corporate Quality & Food Safety plans

· Serve as the point person for handling all impactful food safety issues experienced by the company

· Develop and implement programs such as GMP, HACCP, SSOP and to further enhance food safety

· Monitor, document, and report all product finalizations to ensure compliance with HelloFresh's mission statement

· Work with all departments regarding food safety policies and concerns

· Manages and oversees the sanitation of facility to ensure food safety

· Conduct facility food safety audits

· Manage any external audits

· Develop and provide trainings for Food Safety and Quality requirements

· Develop and maintain documentation such as SOPs, policies, and procedures at the DC level

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Biology or other relevant subjects

· 5 years of experience within the food industry

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role within a fulfillment center

· Strong attention to detail and data driven mindset

· Extensive knowledge of principles and applications of FSQA programs including HACCP, Sanitation

· Up-to-date knowledge on FDA guidelines
