Apply expertise in Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance and ASW (MPRA) and theater intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) to analyzing the development and execution of Navy wargames at the operational level of war. Design scenarios and events to provide fleet commanders with a venue where war plan development and execution is tested using classified real-world data on US and assessed adversary systems performance. Analyze the development of MPRA aspects of war game scenarios, including incorporating the latest doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures to support aircraft employment and integration. Support war game adjudication of Navy component and numbered fleet staff operational level of war planning. Serve as the resident MPRA employment and antisubmarine warfare (ASW) and undersea warfare (USW) subject matter expert. This position will include embarking on naval ships. This position requires the ability to conduct domestic and international travel 15% of the time and is located full-time in the Norfolk, VA area.
-10 years of experience as a MPRA or member of a US Navy Patrol Squadron (VP), including mission commander
-Experience as a US Navy pilot or Naval flight officer
-Experience with Navy MPRA planning pertaining to MPRA or anti-submarine warfare (ASW) or undersea warfare (USW) commander task force (CTF) staff or Navy component command and numbered fleet headquarters
-Experience with Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of aircraft tactical employment as part of a larger force
-Ability to brief senior Navy officers comfortably and confidently
-Ability to travel 15% of the time, including overseas and at sea
-Ability to meet the Navy physical screening requirement
-BA or BS degree
-Experience with Joint and naval exercises, wargaming, and exercise or eventplanning
-Experience with successful command at sea
-MA or MS degree
-Completion of Joint Professional Military Education Phase 2
