Job Description

State Street Global Advisors is expanding our efforts in the fixed income ETF space and is looking for an experienced professional to become part of the SPDR ETF Institutional Fixed Income Group. This is a client-facing role, and the individual must have the capacity to discuss multiple fixed income asset classes in depth, provide insight in both written and verbal form, and develop content and analysis. We seek an outstanding team player who can prove dedicated to growing a relatively new business unit within one of the fastest growing product areas in asset management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with the sales teams to position SPDR solutions and drive growth in fixed income ETF AUM and revenues.
Establish and maintain direct connectivity with fixed income client counterparts for both new and existing SPDR relationships
Analyze and assess client portfolios and identify opportunities for SPDR fixed income solutions
Respond to bespoke client inquiries from SPDR fixed income clients
Research and develop market commentary and generate asset class content
Serve as internal fixed income resource for inquiries across SSGA SPDR sales channels

Qualifications / Desired skills:

Experience in, and deep knowledge of, one or more credit markets (e.g. HY, bank loans, preferreds, convertibles, EMD) and their derivative product
FINRA Series 7 and 63 required
A strong understanding of the financial services industry and global capital markets
Minimum 5 years in a fixed income market research / analyst role
Experience publishing research
Ability to demonstrate creative solutions / analysis
Intellectual curiosity, with a passion for research and uncovering important details
Ability to multi-task long-term and short-term goals and manage projects effectively and efficiently
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong quantitative skills, including expertise with Excel and PowerPoint
