Firmware Engineer at Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation in Huntsville, AL

Utilizes firmware engineering and analysis experience to contribute to the design, analysis, simulation, synthesis, verification, and integration of a large DoD systems. Innovates, collaborates, and teams with software and hardware engineers to provide Verification & Validation for firmware, develop and implement firmware's strategy/environment, review firmware related documentation, review requirements specifications and test procedures, and verify any needed documents are addressed and available in the repository.

Collaborates with multidisciplined engineering team to verify, validate, and analyze system architectures, hardware interfaces, system specifications, and overall system firmware designs. Employs the ability to understand device timing diagrams. Exercises excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required

• ABET accredited BS in Computer Science, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related technical degree
• Minimum 2 years of task related experience
• Familiarity with basic Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog
• Approximately 25% travel
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

Desired

• Knowledge of embedded Linux environments
• Experience with Security Analysis and designing Security Solutions
• Experience with tools such as Altera, Xilinx, and/or Questa ModelSim/QuestaSim
• FPGA programming and debug tools experience
• Experience with Missile Systems
