Fire Protection Engineers – Mid-Senior Level Experienced (Federal Vertical)

About the Position

We are seeking Fire Protection Engineers to join our growing Professional Design team in any of the following Pond offices: Peachtree Corners, GA; Atlanta, GA; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Tampa, FL; Port Orange, FL; Columbia, SC; Mobile, AL; Huntsville, AL; New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; San Diego, CA; Honolulu, HI.

The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of relacessful candidate would be mentored by our dynamic team of engineering professionals while supporting a range of multidisciplinary projects. Please note that a PE license (or passage of the PE exam) is required for this position.

About Our Team

Our Professional Design team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world and our existing client base includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would have the opportunity to engage across markets and geographies.

Qualifications:

• BS in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• 5+ years of experience (d professional experience included)
• PE License Earned or PE Exam Passage and Awaiting Licensure
• Proficient with relevant software such as AutoCad or Revit
• Ability to determine the scope of assigned fire protection project, review and interpret construction documents, applicable codes, and utilize software programs to create the engineering designs based on the interpretation of project plans and submittals/specifications or and fire alarm system layouts, quantities, and specifications; select anpment with limited oversight
• Knowledge of code compliance of the fire protection systems and the building design
• Physically able to conduct field inspections and analysis to upgrade and correct existing system problems
• Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.

Additional Information

We anticipate filling this position as a Fire Protection Engineer III with a salary range of $71,700.00 - $151,100.00 per year.

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors.
