PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Financial Services Reporting Analyst, you will assist andsupport system implementations and related data management within the Financial Services environment, Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application (OFSAA) and/or any other technology platform being utilized. This role willwork closely with large batches and volumes of data and will include analysis of large data sets andreportwriting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Solicit and analyze requirements from end users by understanding their processes and data needs, synthesize those requirements into categorized themes and capabilities
  • Map data between systems and profile data to evaluate and compare data from different sources, research anomalies, and identify patterns that provide detailed scenarios for data implementation and reduce testing defects
  • Develop business transformation logic and functional design documentation
  • Create test plans, test scripts and execute testing to analyze data and transformation issues
  • Provide input to creating data acquisition processes and user interfaces for requirements gathering, data mappings, data transformation, and documentation
  • Collaborate with technology team to build technical components of a finance data management ecosystem

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS or other related business discipline required
  • Experience with Finance data and processes
  • 5 to 10 years of data analysis, data sourcing and transformation
  • Experience with metadata and data lineage implementations
  • Java, JSON, SQL/XQuery and similar technologies and languages, particularly those used in data transformation
  • Agile development methodology
  • Experience with streaming data a plus
  • Experience with Hadoop/Hive/HiveQL/Pig/MapReduce a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of working independently; a self-starter
