Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for designing and maintaining meaningful financial reports and analysis on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to department directors, the executive team and the Board of Trustees. This role will be critical in developing organization wide dashboards, providing easy access, self-serve and real-time financial information regarding key financial and operational metrics. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will support managers in tracking key projects. Must have excellent communication skills, must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard, enjoy challenges and demonstrate sound judgement in ambiguous situations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for bottom up and top down budgeting and financial forecasting, annual and five year
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual MD&A for internal reporting and Board Presentations
  • Design, maintain and prepare a monthly reporting package to the CFO
  • Prepare all materials and lead the monthly close meeting with department directors, executives, VPs
  • Monthly project tracking versus budget and percentage of completion
  • Monthly flash reports
  • Provide standard data metrics and dashboards to organization
  • Provide financing resource and analysis to organization to minimize the cost of capital
  • Provide financial analysis and support to the organization
  • Work with departments on their financial needs and understanding of standard financial package
  • Successful history of managing people

Absolutely Required Skills / Knowledge / Ability / Experience or Education 

  • Eight years related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance required
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office required
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail required
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work accurately while meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to plan daily workload
  • Ability to prepare and interpret financial data
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Common sense and a good sense of humor

Desired Skills / Knowledge / Ability / Experience or Education

  • MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Intacct Software a plus
