POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the FP&A is responsible for utilizing analytical, business, and leadership skills to analyze various projects in budgeting, capital planning, corporate planning, financial planning, forecasting and operational assessments leading to the identification, quantification and implementation of practical business solutions and increased profitability.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Build relationships with business partners to develop annual budget & quarterly forecasts to analyze actual results against both.

Maintain overall awareness of company performance and direction to keep management informed of financialrisk and opportunity.

Drive efficient processes for forecasting and budgeting of P&L components, including Revenue, Gross Margin, Opex, Cash, cost of sales, material usage, inventory, operational plan variances and add value to business partners.

Produce impactful management reporting and presentations for executives and otherinternal stakeholders. Reporting should be analysis-based and highly metric focused to illuminate emerging trends and issues.

Identify key business drivers and measurements, operational constraints, and integrate these into management reporting.

Dashboard reporting – drive the creation and publication of financial dashboards. Coordinate operational input from internal stakeholders.

Work with Supply Chain organization to facilitate activities, change, drive performance and creatively solve problems.

Create and maintain financial models to analyze revenue streams, potential business opportunities and various ROI analyses; Provide recommendations to management to improve performance, and help to understand any otherfinancial Supply Chain metric(s)

Build, streamline and continuously improve Product P&L process.

Support efforts for system implementations, report redesign and process improvements.

Adeptly utilize financial software and systems for data query and reporting to develop high quality analysis.

Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support decision-making.

Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Position-Specific Skills 

  • Minimum 5years’ experience in financial analysisrequired including financial modeling.
  • Strong manufacturing/supply chain management experiencepreferred, preferably in food /CPG.
  • Must possess strong financial and analytical skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner. Make strategic recommendations and enhancements.

  • Must possess excellent people skills with a result driven approach
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.

Technical Skills 

  • Strong PC skills including advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
  • Hands-on use of ERP system, preferably for cost development and manufacturing accounting. Great Plains experience a significant plus.

Education/Training 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Math or equivalent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position works in a standard office environment with extensive use of computer/ keyboard and other office equipment such as phone, copier, etc. and involves extended periods of sitting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Math or equivalent.

 

2. What quantifiable achievement from the last 2-3years are you most proud of? (i.e. revenue generated, costs /time saved)

 

3. Analytics background is highly preferred.

 

4. Strong PC skills including advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
