Financial Management SME
Serve as a financial management SME and action officer in support of a highly visible DoD program focused on audit readiness and financial analytics. Engage with and collaborate across the Office of the Secretary of Defense, military departments, DoD agencies, and Combatant Commands (COCOMs) and coordinate with external agencies. Support client leadership on assigned projects, including meeting planning and implementation, organizational reviews, and reports generation and participate in meetings with other federal and non-federal entities. Collect and assess data and provide findings and recommendations to client leadership. Manage professional employees and supervisors involved in the analysis of financial data related to operations, business performance, opportunities, and investments. Gather and interpret financial data and develop recommendations and reports for management. Maintain responsibility for budgets and deadlines in the management area.
-7 years of experience with DoD financial management processes, including PPBE
-1 year of experience in a supervisory role
-Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
-Experience with audit readiness principles and standards and DoD financial management organization and functions, including comptroller, DFAS, and MILDEP financial management organizations
-BA or BS degree
-Experience in working at OSD-level organization or service secretary level
-Experience with gathering, organizing, analyzing, and tracking budgetary data
-Ability to demonstrate writing expertise
-Ability to pay strong attention to detail
-Ability to facilitate meetings
-Ability to work tasks independently
-Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
