Favor TechConsulting, LLC (FTC) is in search of a talented Financial Controller. We are looking for an experienced financial controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financialreporting including compliance, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the refinement of internal control policies and procedures. Responsibilities will also include but not be limited to:

Essential Functions, Skills and Job Responsibilities:

  • Thorough knowledge and experience with Deltek GCS Premier required (preparation of monthly financial statements, new contract award setup and management, cost pool setup and allocation)
  • Deltek Time & Expense setup and experiencerequired
  • Deltek Costpoint experience highly preferred but not required
  • Experience conducting both internal and external audits
  • 3 yrs+ experience in government contracting at Controller position (or similar) required
  • Overseeing all A/R, Billings, A/P, and P/R activities handled by Accounting Department, with understanding of CPFF/CPAF contract types
  • Experience in the oversight, management, and training of multiple Senior- and Junior-level staff that report to the Controller position
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Project Managers, and Team Leads
  • Ability to understand and perform accounting procedures that affect all corporate projects/departments and codify into formal written processes
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, DCAA, FAR, cost accounting, audit procedures, and tax code
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidatingfinancial data; recommending plans
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financialreports; advising management on needed actions

·       Willing to commute to Rockville, MD – if candidate is a VA resident they may work at FTC’s Tysons Corner HQ office, however accounting staff and records are primarily located in Rockville, MD so primary work hours at that location will be required during the transition period and continued at a mutually decided upon frequency

·       Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

·       Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Desired Skills:

·       Familiarity with the transition from mid to large size business, specifically to govcon

·       Experience Line of Credit maintenance and reporting

·       Experience with DCAA and DCMA System Adequacy examination and audits and incurred cost submissions

·       Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) coverage and disclosure statements
