We are working – exclusively - with an investment firm, based in Aventura, FL, that is looking to add a Financial Controller to their growing team. In this high exposure role, the Financial Controller will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financialreporting, and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Perform daily accounting transactions (A/P, A/R, P/R) as well as bank reconciliations
  • Supportbudget and forecasting activities
  • Respond to inquiries from the Executives regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelordegree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Real estate industry background
  • Strong Yardi and MS Excel skills
  • Must have a “hands-on” and team player attitude
