ALEKO is a dynamic and fast paced E-commerce company based in Kent, WA. It is a fun place to work! We have a great team of individuals who love their jobs! We are looking for a Financial Controller to keep our finances in check.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce reports and statements
  • Manage and assist with daily operations of accounting including: cash management, including cash forecasting, month end close, payroll,general ledger, reconciliations, ensure bank reconciliations are completed and accurate, state and local tax compliance
  • Work closely with operations team to fulfill accounting objectives
  • Experienced in inventory accounting
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective action
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Training and supervision of accounting staff
  • Experience with QuickBooks and various other accounting systems
  • Oversees components of Human Resources
  • Experience with software implementation and integration
  • Coordination with external partners - accountants, bankers, insurance brokers, and related entities
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors
  • Manages cash flow of business by reviewing and allocating funds for payments
  • Reviews and implements changes to operational procedures and policies that affect the financial systems, reporting and business management including ERP and accounting systems
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidatingfinancial data; recommending plans
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financialreports; advising management on needed actions
  • Establishes and reviews inventory procedures to ensure proper accounting for inventory assets and tracking
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

Education/Experience:

  • Experience is in a similar position/company is pivotal to success
  • Bachelors in Accounting or relevant field required. CPApreferred, not required; 5+ years of comparable relevant experience
