  • Brief Description
  • LinQuest is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team at our office in Alexandria, VA. LinQuest is helping the DoD CIO perform oversight activities on Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Infrastructure (C4II) programs as the principal staff assistant. As a LinQuest team member you will be supporting the review and assessment of major C4II programs that are being planned, implemented and operated by the DoD Services and Agencies. This critical support for assessments will be the foundation for senior level decisions during the PPBE process. Your tasks and recommendations will lead directly to influencing how the US prepares for the future C4II capabilities.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Accesses and uses DoD financial tools and software to collect data
  • Reviews and analyzes C4II program budget material, documents and artifacts to determine their accuracy and sufficiency
  • Analyzes budget and accounting data, checks status of obligations and expenditures; provides guidance concerning budgetary regulations.
  • Conducts special budget analysis projects/studies involving complex program budget, and financial data to determine commitments, obligations and expenditures of funds.
  • Analyzes proposed budget reductions, preparing justification for continuation of funding or alternative proposals.
  • Assists in identifying programmatic budget shortfalls and preparing appropriate Issue Papers to remedy identified shortfalls
  • Participates in weekly meetings and prepare reports and briefings for senior level personnel

  • Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Public Administration)
  • Experience managing and monitoring all aspects of the planning, programming, budget, and execution (PPBE) process
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Master's degree in business
  • Experience with DoD financial organization
