You will perform General Accounting functions for the Information Technology organization. Work closely with IT sub domain owners to develop departmental budgets and forecasts, analyze spend related to those plans and articulate findings in presentations. The experienced analyst will build strategic relationships to help streamline and improve forecast accuracy and financial performance in a high growth environment.
•Support IT month-end close process and tasks including accruals, variance analysis and invoice coding
•Partner with cross-functional teams to manage Headcount, Opex, and Capex forecasting
•Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports while ensuring integrity of data
•Complies with internal control, corporate financial policies, and SOX requirements
•Updates and writes new documentation of processes including local work instructions and flowcharts as necessary
•Maintains accurate accounting records in (SAP, Jeevan, GEOS, Oracle)
•Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
•Assist IT management in the analysis of respective expenditures, by compiling and analyzing financial information for the organization
•Ensure that IT financial planning continues to support the organization’s business strategy
•Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual internal reports
•Identify issues, provide recommendations for cost savings, and improve financial performance
•Assist with Quarterly Fixed Asset Impairment/Disposal
•Develop and maintain dashboard for IT Project spend
•Reviews and reconciles account activity within the area of IT financial responsibility
•Prepares complex journal entries with appropriate supporting documents
•Support Project Managers in reviewing AFE’s
•Create local WBS for projects activated in PSO/MDM
•Review projects, budgets, invoices and contracts for reasonability and accuracy and make any necessary recommendations to senior management
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•Five years accounting or finance experience
•Solid expertise with computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP.
•Ability to adapt to several software environments to have the capability necessary to audit work and provide useful reports for management.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
•Advanced analytical and problem solving with strong attention to detail.
•Ability to define deadlines and manage priorities of self, team and/or project.
•Able to solve increasingly complex issues and make modifications as needed to complete functional and/or project goals.
