We are an executive search firm who has been hired to identify a Financial Analyst III.

 The Financial Analyst III candidate will be a business partner to the Varian Business Unit of Applied Materials, responsible for financialreporting and analysis on a broad range of financial and business issues. The candidate will utilize systems, process management, finance analytical skills, and interpersonal skills to facilitate the achievement of group and company objectives. The focus of the candidate will be in these areas: 

?Partner with business unit including engineering and marketing to drive financial performance to goals and to provide ad hoc strategic analysis. 

?Maintain and enhance finance models, performing analysis and working with cross functional organization to ensure improvement initiatives on track.  

?Support business unit engineering in the development & tracking of program budgets 

?As Finance representative on select new product introduction teams, provide financial analysis to support program milestones in Gross Margin and ROI analyses. 

?Must be proactive, possess solid financial analytic skills, communication skills, and be self-directed. Must have demonstrated ability to develop Excel based models that influence business decisions. Must work effectively with all levels of management and with various functions (finance, supply chain, engineering) in a fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple and often changing priorities. 

Financial Analyst III Key Responsibilities

1. Guides business unit with financial analyses to support strategic and financial goals.

2. Completes detailed analysis and commentary and presents to finance and non-finance executives

3. Develops complex modeling to support strategic planning, new product development, gross margin improvement, and business decisions.

4. Identifies and drives financial improvements (gross margin, operating margin).

5. Drives process improvements

Financial Analyst III Qualifications

?Master?s Degree in Finance OR Bachelor?s Degree in Finance with 2 or more years of experience in Financial Analysis
