As the Finance Manager, you will be a key contributor to the enhancement and growth of

the team. You will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day financial and

accounting functions while driving continuous improvement to reporting, treasury and risk

management processes. As the third member of our Finance team, you are granted the

opportunity to contribute to the company's future growth and success in a major way. You

will report directly to the Director of Finance and will work very closely with every

department in the business.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage, participate in and oversee daily finance and accounting operations
  • Assist the Director of Finance in the management the company's financial plans, policies and procedures, internal control and accounting practices
  • Ensure financial and management reporting data is accurate and issued on a timely basis to facilitate corporate decision making
  • Oversee & help prepare monthly financial statements
  • Continually monitor and update monthly, quarterly and full year forecasts
  • Support the implementation of a new finance enterprise system
  • Continuously evaluate new ways to improve efficiencies, reporting, processes etc.
  • Review management accounts against budget and provide variance analysis
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and tax filings
  • Manage the audit process and be the primary interface with external auditors

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills supported by a CPA designation
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained working at a big four accounting firm
  • An additional 3-5 years of industry experience in a mid-level financial management or controller position
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work on and prioritize various deliverables
  • The ability to work autonomously and innovatively
  • Energy and drive to actively contribute to the growth of the Finance team and the organization as a whole
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial driven environment on numerous concurrent tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with a propensity to create and automate manual processes
  • Familiarity with IFRS & US GAAP (strong consideration will be given to those with proven US GAAP expertise)
