As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges.

You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial gurus. You'll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.

Google Cloud has an exciting opportunity for a highly visible Finance Manager who will be helping scale out the FP&A function in support of the rapid growth of the Google Cloud organization. As a Finance Manager you'll work to centralize, standardize and automate the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of our global revenue, sales and marketing expense and headcount for Google Cloud. In this role, you will implement and govern a centralized process and calendar for hierarchies refresh cycles, maintenance of historical changes and reconciliation with financial systems. Establish data access security governance structure to ensure role based data access. You will also help simplify processes and then standardize them globally across all sales regions and set and communicate clearly the cadence of activities that need to be performed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually, including the annual operating plan.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or similar quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience working in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment.
  • FP&A and project management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Direct experience leading finance for a complex, global, public company environment, preferably in the Computer Software/Hardware and IT Services industry.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, financial planning and modeling.
  • Ability to lead a globally distributed FP&A team with demonstrated experience in recognizing and developing talent.
  • Ability to take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction and develop new strategies and new ways of approaching business challenges independently.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, intuition to build trust and credibility with cross functional teams as well as senior leadership.
  • - Act as an advisor to the senior teams on the financial performance of the business and drive change management initiatives by building consensus across regional sales finance and sales operations team members. - Document definitions of KPIs, document functional requirements to enable consistent production of reporting of the KPIs. Document definitions of data member hierarchies and work with internal Google developers to automate reporting of the KPIs via dashboards. - Establish global standard forecast and quarter close processes - standardize forecast methodology, drive quarter close process, centralize quarter end accruals, analyze variances and ensure forecast-to-actual variance targets are met. - Automate the travel expense budget to actual reporting. Analyze financial/operational information and define standard management reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
