Position Summary:

Aveda, America’s premier creator and marketer of plant-based hair care, skin care, makeup, PureFume™ and lifestyle products seeks a Finance Manager to provide financial marketing, sales and business analysis for the Aveda Global Support organization.

This role will manage the Aveda Global Support organization’s operating expense budgets and actuals by developing and maintaining strong working relationships to facilitate successful product launches and support existing business programs. This role also supports the Executive Director of Global Finance with FP&A for the Aveda Global Brand and other ad hoc projects and analysis needed to support the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Marketing, Creative, Education, Product Development, and other G&A teams regarding proper and consistent accounting and processing of operating expenses ensuring compliance with corporate accounting directives

  • Manage Marketing, Creative, Education, Product Development, and other G&A operating expenses by clearly communicating budgets, results and expectations including cost management recommendations

  • Partner with business teams to develop business plans and forecast profitability and ROIs for new launches and promotions, and conduct post-launch analyses, generating insights for future programs

  • Develop monthly reports, establish performance measures and hold team accountable to results

  • Create detailed Marketing, Creative, Education, Product Development, and other G&A P&Ls for review and reporting to senior leadership. Perform detailed portfolio analysis to identify growth opportunities, analyze business performance and improve business understanding.

  • Update forecasts monthly, managing actuals year-to-date and full year forecast

  • Partner with Demand Planning to review forecast, communicate results and ensure consensus between marketing and sales teams

  • Assist in the development of the annual budget including coordinating budget input with Global Support ensuring data accuracy



Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance


5-7 years financial analysis (marketing analysis experiencedesired)


  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent follow up and organizational skills required

  • Excellent systems, pc, and spreadsheet skills (SAP and Hyperiondesired)

  • Ability to work within tight time requirements
