This is an exciting opportunity in Milpitas, CA for a Finance Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Responsible for the financial operations of Cummins Electrified Power - California, which are primarily focused on product development programs and light manufacturing.

  • Develops and prepares forecasts, analyzes and evaluates financial plans and budgets for the assigned business unit.

  • Partners with management to identify, evaluate, and address potential opportunities and risks associated with the operations and strategic objectives.

  • Partners with management to develop and assess business plans / objectives, including the design and development of strategic financial analysis projects as necessary.

  • Manages a team of Financial Analysts.

  • Coaches and mentors financial analysts; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

Skills

  • Familiarity with common accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, etc.)

  • Communication - significant experience in written and verbal communication and capable of communicating effectively to all levels within the company.

  • Familiarity with common accounting and finance procedures such as, GAAP accounting, monthly close, forecasting, managerial accounting, and discounted cash flow / net present value (NPV) analysis.

Experience

  • Significant experiencerequired (minimum of 5-7 years)

  • Supervisory experience (minimum of 3-5 years)

  • Able to work with Cummins M&A Integration Team and EPBU Finance Team to set up key accounting, financial and reporting processes and deliverables.

  • Able to work cross-functionally with teams.

  • Preference for experience in budgeting, inventory costing and/or product development program financial analysis (including advanced simulation analysis).

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.

  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
