The Manager, Corporate Finance is key team member and right-hand to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, responsible for assisting with the management of the Corporate Finance activity at Viant's corporate headquarters. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, this role will own key aspects of Financial Modeling, Sales/Revenue Pipeline reporting, Executive level analysis presentations and dashboards, as well as participate in process development and process improvement projects. This position will be involved in assignments used to assess the strategic initiatives of the company, such as new product developments, expense tracking and analytics, and KPI reporting. This is a hands-on, individual contributor, analytical role in a fast-paced environment requiring the ideal candidate to perform effectively as an individual and as part of a team. It is essential that this candidate is able to juggle multiple assignments autonomously with the flexibility to pivot when required, while maintaining focus and attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Development of all budgets, forecasts and supporting analysis for the U.S. operations, requiring the ability to build and maintain sophisticated, bottoms up financial models utilizing the latest best practices and dynamic formulas.
  • Preparation of the monthly financial reporting and analysis package consisting of: monthly actual vs. budget and prior year variance analysis, dashboards with executive commentary, EBITDA bridges, actual to budget headcount analysis as well as reporting on a number of key performance indicators and ad hoc analyses to support business initiatives.
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations and other analysis for senior management to ensure management has access to timely and relevant data for strategic decisions.
  • Provides support to and is the key resource for the Senior Manager of Finance, Senior Director of Corporate Finance, and the accounting staff.

Experience:

  • BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, and/or Mathematics
  • MBA Strongly Preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in high level financial analysis and/or reporting positions, with at least 2 years at the manager level.
  • Big 4 experience or experience in Investment banking, private equity or a private equity-backed company is a plus.
  • Experience working at an AdTech/Digital Media company a plus.
  • Advanced three statement financial modeling skills.
  • Strong independent analytical thinker with an eye for relevant detail.
  • Ability to summarize low-level data into high-level executive management analysis and presentations
  • Experience with and comfortable working through ambiguity and building processes / reporting from scratch
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and the interaction between an income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Familiarity with key accounting concepts
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions.
  • Strong communications skills to clearly present key issues and recommended actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and refined relationship-building skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
