HUMAN CAPITAL INNOVATIONS HAS BEEN RETAINED TO FIND A KEY CONTRIBUTOR TO ASSUME A FINANCE LEADERSHIP ROLE FOR A PROMINENT FINANCIAL SERVICES FIRM BASED IN THE GREATER PHILADELPHIA AREA. 

 

FINANCE LEADERSHIP ROLE

 

The role plans, organizes, manages/directs, and controls the accounting and control functions of the organization, reports operational results, and maintains accounting systems. 

Specific Responsibilities Include:

?       Coordinate and administer the accounting function for the control of Company operations. Provide income and expense budgeting and forecasting, new loan forecasts, billing and accounts receivable, invoice processing and accounts payable, cost standards, and capital planning.

?       Prepare and file annual tax returns or prepare financial information for outside accountants to complete tax returns.

?       Prepare or direct preparation of periodic financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.

?       Assure the necessary controls and procedures are in place to manage the financialreporting and business results.

?       Compare performance with operating plans and standards. Provide reports and interpret the results of operations for all levels of management.

?       Formulate accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.

?       Responsible for Board reporting and report package preparation.

?       Provide advice to senior management on accounting matters requiring interpretation.

?       Develop budget in conjunction with senior management. Authorize expenditures in accordance with budget.

?       Monitor performance of direct reports. Provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling. Review direct reports and approve performance appraisal initiated by direct reports.

?       Assure effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.

?       Act within scope of authority and consistent with company and corporate objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices.

?       Ensure optimum performance of the function. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices.

?       Keep abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise. Assume other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

?       B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance.

?       MBA and CPA

?       5-7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.

?       Demonstrated working knowledge of automated accounting systems.

?       Well-developed financial analysis capabilities. 

?       Sound administrative skills. Well-developed management skills.

?       Demonstrated experience successfully managing people and obtaining results.

?       Self-starter, results-oriented, highly adaptable and a change champion. 

?       Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
