We are currently seeking a dynamic Finance Director to lead an exciting opportunity in Alaska. The Finance Director will manage the financial operations for the Alaska Engagement Center including being responsible for financial planning, tracking expenditures, claims processing, and management oversight of financial systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Completes internal management reports for local senior management: researches and identifies review trends. Develops, submits, and implements departmental goals and objectives, which align with company and corporate goals and objectives/strategic priorities.
Oversees ledgers related to Alaska account. Works with corporate finance on all accounting issues.
Prepares and presents the monthly operating report to the local and regional management team(s).
Serves as primary liaison with State with respect to invoice processing and Accounts Receivable management.
Attends meetings with State staff, within 24 hours’ notice, and serves as Beacon’s Management Staff with decision-making authority, as appropriate.
Oversees annual budget preparation and monthly variance monitoring.
Coordinates periodic quality and financialaudits to ensure billing is occurring within contractual standards.
Prepares quarterly expense reconciliations to be submitted to the State to substantiate spending in relation to contracted amounts.
Serves as primary fiscal contact to other third parties or institutions as applicable. Prepares and/or reviews all reports of a financial nature that are distributed to the client.
Works with engagement center and matrix leadership with respect to staffing requirements to provide efficient and exemplary service to meet client expectations.
Primary financial contact with Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) to ensure that invoices received are appropriate for time billed and that timely payment is made to the vendor(s).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required; Master of Business
Administration or relevant advanced degreepreferred
Relevant Work Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems required.
Minimum of five years’ work experience at the management level or above in the Managed Health Care industry, including experience with provider incentive models, shared risk payor models, pricing models, and IBNR development.
Knowledge of Medicaid and behavioral health sector is preferred
