Business Segment / Regional Finance Director (Fortune 500)

Area of Expertise:

Planning, forecasting and comparison of financial activity. Preparation, consolidation, analysis and documentation of financial data used to summarize and measure status, evaluation of business plans, and identification of variances and predict results.

 

Typical Roles/Area of Focus:

Incumbent's responsibilities will generally focus on one or more of the following:

  • SG&A Expense Analysis
  • Financial Analysis
  • Cost Analysis
  • Budgeting

 

Level of Responsibility:

  • Provides strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs in area of expertise
  • Contributes to the company and the industry by advancing the level of knowledge within that discipline
  • Provides cross-functional guidance and expertise
  • Is seen as a leading expert within their field
  • Provide career direction and support in guiding group to achieve maximum efficiency.

 

Department Mission:

Provide accurate financial data in support of strategic initiatives; including cost actions, product development, and mergers and acquisitions. Responsible for planning and analysis required for detailed performance assessments, strategic planning, and business planning and accurate and timely forecasts.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 10 plus years of progressive accounting/financeexperience. The successful candidate should have a FP&A background. Advanced degree or CPApreferred.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Strong computer skills for presentation and analysis of data.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the company.
  • Project management skills.

 

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with business Leaders to drive business goals and objectives
  • Guide business team to successful achievement of all financial goals and objectives.
  • Oversee Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Analyze business performance across all key metrics and functions with the ability to identify issues, drive to the root cause(s) and develop the appropriate corrective actions
  • Involve and actively own the inventory and debt management process so as to optimize working capital and maximize cash flow.
  • Ensure that the highest controllership standards are maintained including those related to account reconciliation, stewardship of assets and integrity of financial transactions
  • Develop and manage planning cycles and long range plan and budget
  • Actively engage with supporting legal entity setup in certain countries and M&A initiatives by coordinating due diligence, local and legal regulations and integration activities
  • Build a "world class finance team" capable of growing the business profitably and delivering financialsupport.

 

Education Required

Requirements:

Must have:

 The ideal candidate will lead by example and drive team enthusiasm. Someone who is decisive, confident, open and candid. S/he will be process oriented and have a willingness to immerse oneself into critical tasks and "get your hands dirty". Excellent communication skills are critical.
