Field Technician I, SSG
The Field Service Technician I, Systems Solutions Group supports the Field Engineers and Senior Engineers in the implementation of automated controls for various power generation equipment. Performs basic repairs, testing and preventative maintenance on Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) equipment at customer job sites. Conducts thorough battery and low voltage circuit breaker testing of systems to isolate potential problems and troubleshoots basic electrical schematics. Assembles all component on power generation systems and re-assembles to factory specifications. Assists higher level technicians with EMCP retrofits. Prepares detailed service reports, looks up parts and prepares order requisitions and other related paperwork. Safely drives a service vehicle and performs various other duties as assigned. Demonstrates ability to learn and apply new knowledge and keeps current with service pertaining to power generation. Safely drives a service vehicle. Performs various other duties as assigned.
Must have experience assembling power generation system components, implementing automated controls, troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance service on power generation systems. Electrical Technical school or military MOS in electric power generation preferred. Must have a general understanding and application of OHM’s law, multi-meters, and a basic understanding of electrical wiring. Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service. Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
