RiverTech is looking for a Tactical Communications LMR Technician to work in Bangor, Maine.  To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

Responsibilities
  • Perform P25 integration, installation, operations and maintenance, to include writing, repairing and updating code plugs for mobile radios, portable radios and repeaters, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of microwave backhaul systems, and Land Mobile Radio sites remote alarming systems.

  • Program, align, install and maintain Motorola Quantar and GTR8000 repeaters.

  • Complete documentation on site conditions and deficiencies.

  • Troubleshoot and document conditions of T1/MPLS/Data circuits and reestablish circuit connectivity when necessary.

  • Provide design solutions whereby individual equipment meets current government client security standards.

  • Review the design and development documents for communication equipment/system installation. The installation designs are unique and seldom repetitious.

  • Provide security testing and assessment of equipment that has no Critical or High vulnerabilities.

  • Brief management, exchange technical information, resolve communication system failures, provide support for identified requirements, discuss action plans, and/or coordinate efforts during professional contacts.  

  • Prepare monthly technical/status reports regarding completed technical project work, presenting results, conclusions and recommendations.

  • Daily update and maintain the system repair and maintenance action record and tracking systems (Remedy, Maximo, etc.).

  • Perform tactical communications integration, testing, programming, troubleshooting, and design.

  • Perform site surveys and preventative maintenance surveys.

Qualifications
  • Possess an associate degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in tactical communication integration, testing, programming, troubleshooting, and design; or equivalent; or without degree, possess High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in tactical communications integration, testing, programming, troubleshooting, and design.
  • Experience in tactical communications to include but not limited to P25 integration; installation, operations, and maintenance.

  • Experience performing site surveys and preventative maintenance surveys.

  • Experience repairing and maintaining P25 infrastructure equipment.

  • Experience in microwave backhaul, analyzing tower sites and identifying deficiencies/areas that require correction/repair.  

  • Experience preparing reports to document tower site status, repairs, and maintenance.

  • Experience monitoring leased circuits and checking parameters.

  • Experience documenting condition of circuits.

  • Experience re-establishing circuit connectivity and preparing reports to document circuit status and equipment connectivity.

  • Must hold a valid United States (U.S.) Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a DHS Customs and Border Protections Background Investigation.  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active DHS Secret or higher-level clearance.
