Deploy to remote locations with an operational system to provide immediate technical support 24/7 during the deployment. (Double pay during deployment. Straight time at 12 hours/day, 7 days a week, for 84 hours/week vs 40 hours/week when not deployed.)
Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing systems to meet changing user requirements.
Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guides, etc.
Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new development projects.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support and enhance existing systems.
Provide on-site field support up to 4-5 times per year in Colorado and New Mexico
Active Top-Secret Clearance
BS in EE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or 5 years of relevant electronic/computer field-service support.
This position deploys to remote operational locations up to two times per year for 45-50 days per deployment. Double pay while deployed.
Capability of preparing operating instructions, analyzing system capabilities and resolving questions about system software.
Possess expert knowledge of networking, open system standards and deployment technologies and must be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional travel to Colorado and New Mexico up to 4-6 times per year.
Due to the requirement to provide hardware troubleshooting and repair support in austere locations, the candidate must be able bodied and able to lift up to 50 lbs
Current SCI access desired
Technical experience providing research and collaboration with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development and utilization of computer systems.
Familiar with communications over networks and interfaces with clients and servers.
