Perform variety of field assignments involving installation, modification, test, or repair of industrial automation equipment.


*** Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, & computer-generated reports and construct prototype models.


*** Specify system components or products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.


*** Write, modify, and debug Programmable Logic Controller code on existing machines; various motion control programs; robot programs (ABB, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Epson, and Universal Robotics); and similar.


*** Support configuration and design of Human Machine Interfaces and Operator Interface Terminal systems (e.g. Allen Bradley, National Instruments, Maple Systems).


*** Conduct tests and experiments for selection, adaptation, or modification of equipment and procedures.


*** Record, compile, and reduce data for analysis and assist in related assessment and preparation of reports.


*** Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to optimize manufacturing environment and customer satisfaction.


*** Implement inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs.


*** Train and support Field Service Engineers and Field Service Technicians.


*** Provide technical expertise related to Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi GSWorks, Schneider Unity; Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence); Motion Controllers & Actuators (IAI, Yasakawa); Design & Drafting Tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks); and similar.
