GENERAL SUMMARY & OVERALL CHALLENGES The Field Marketing Manager is a field based role, responsible for building and executing field based marketing programs with primary focus on Tier 1 academic institutions. This will be accomplished through engagement of field selling teams to proactively drive events that support funnel growth such as: lunch and learns, workshops, seminars and road shows.
From these engagements the FMM will develop relationships with Leica customers to build a robust contacts list of partners we will leverage to create sales collateral, present at seminars / webinars and other speaking engagements.
This newly created role will be the central-point of coordination between sales, marketing, and applications teams in identifying / developing customer driven educational content and for effectively disseminating the key differentiating messages for Leica products to internal and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITIONProfessional Experience•3 -5 years’ experience in field sales or marketing, with demonstrated success in organizing customer facing events. Life Science experience is required.•Experience in educational marketing communication / campaign and message development and execution
Education•B.S. preferable in Biology•MS degree in a science or engineering field or equivalent•MBA a plus
Travel (required estimated % of time)•50% travel is required.
