Position Summary

The Field Marketing Advisor role is designed to drive execution and implementation of Gulf branded marketing programs. The Field Marketing Advisor is responsible for managing and meeting marketing performance goals as set in the overall annual Marketing & Sales performance plan, as well as counseling Distributors, Dealers, and Territory Sales Managers to improve the consumer experience in market at Gulf branded locations. This role works closely with the Branded Sales Team and the Marketing Team to ensure all components of the Gulf Guarantee are properly executed and implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Consult and coach B2B customers and their dealers on improvement of the consumer site experience
  • Responsible for station brand image governance and implementation in designated territory
  • Develop detailed program and customer-specific implementation plans to increase portfolio Mystery Shop score
  • Lead analysis of market data, trends, and insights to facilitate regional marketing plan development and achieve annual sales objectives
  • Track customer program performance and develop ROI customer collateral to assist in new site and incremental volume growth goals
  • Deliver ongoing training to ensure designated territory has in-depth knowledge and understanding of available sales-building tools and resources
  • Measure and increase customer participation in marketing programs, specifically Gulf Pay
  • Provide weekly communications to B2B customers on brand updates and marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all marketing activities are implemented and executed based on Gulf’s brand standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required – Marketing or Communications degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in field marketing, gasoline or retail sales, or QSR marketing preferred
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation
  • Strong B2B negotiation and partner relationship management skills
  • Professional and proactive approach with creative problem solving skills
  • Sales minded with strong orientation for customer satisfaction
  • Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Salesforce preferred
  • This is a field based position requiring approximately 50-75% travel.
