Leads and organizes the FCL team , focused on synergy with Sales leadership , including. account targeting and business goals, strategic collaboration with other Sales support teams, assimilation of best practices, developing national goals , strategies and execution excellence within the FCL team ,including involvement in training opportunities and customer engagement. This role will also serve as the liaison to the various Business Unit functions; listed as but not limited to: Physician Relations, Medical Education, Global Field Training, Clinical Research, Research and Development, Regulatory and Legal.


  • Medical and Field Training / Education & Mentorship (50%)
  • Manage FCL team to assist the Medical Education team with Physician Training occurring in their District
  • Spokesperson related to procedural expertise and best practices within region
  • Develops therapy and device operational knowledge and applies this knowledge to processes and initiatives in support of procedural excellence
  • Works with Medical Education Team to align FCL assistance in the clinical trial phase and serve as procedural expert for all new products and indications
  • Support and assist the Medical Education team as product enters launch activities
  • Develop and facilitate national strategies, objectives and consistent field execution and engagement approaches, coordinating and synergizing with Sales and BU partners
  • Serve as the field clinical expert and function as the national Lead for simulation
  • Collaborates with the Global Field Education to roll out new product training initiatives; new products' indications, troubleshooting/tips and tricks, safety updates - "Train the Trainer"
  • Build, mentor and develop the FCL field team
  • On-boarding of new field-based employees
  • Arrange and lead group case observations
  • Conduct case reviews, mock exams
  • Imaging and executive summary management
  • Physician Relations (20%)
  • Consult with previous proctors and local field team to understand team dynamics and competencies
  • While the Field Clinical Lead cannot cover sites first cases and does not replace the need for a proctor they can however substitute for a proctor when a physician proctor is not available
  • Attend the proctor meetings, actively listen and take key learnings back to regional field team
  • Sales and Marketing (50%)
  • Support local sales management in presenting the technology to potential new to TAVR sites
  • Conduct case support when necessary
  • Assist the Therapy Consultant with Full Team trainings and provide technical explanation and demonstration to customers including, physicians, cath lab staff and administration
  • Work closely with the Market Development team in executing strategies needed to meet the business objectives
  • Clinical Research (10%)
  • Primary point of contact for in-house clinical team as it relates to clinical trial activities within region
  • Track and provide data collecting support for ongoing clinical studies as requested by Clinical Research
  • Develops and maintains clinical acumen to understand and translate procedure requirements in compliance with clinical protocols
  • Provides guidance to regional field team regarding device ordering, storage and accountability for clinical trial sites within region
  • Acts as a liaison with in-house clinical team when resolving procedure/device-related PXM events and/or device management questions
  • Facilitates and/or redirects clinical trial questions to in-house team



  • Bachelor Degree
  • 5 years' experience in a clinical setting
  • At least 2 years in the Structural heart space or associated Cath Lab/Cardiac Surgery OR experience
  • Cardiac Operating Theatre and/or Cath Lab experience


  • Clinically certified in TAVR therapies
  • Previous training experience Primary Case Support for 350 cases; or ability to serve in Adv Tech Role by passing Global Field Training Curriculum
  • The successful candidate will preferably have experience in marketing new technologies and therapies
  • Strong knowledge of congenital heart disease management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of medical device sales process
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision; whilst at the same time playing an active team role when appropriate
