As a Field Applications Engineer you will provide customer, production, and engineering support for Government and Commercial IP-centric SATCOM systems. Support will include the production, test, deployment, documentation, training, operation and troubleshooting of SATCOM hubs and remote terminals. Work effectively with other Viasat personnel from multiple disciplines; software, hardware and mechanical engineers as well as configuration management, production, test and technical publications staff. Perform on-site installations, formal acceptance tests, marketing demonstrations, and training of SATCOM equipment. Create and update training material, user manuals, procedures, and other related documentation. Support integration and troubleshooting of Viasat equipment into customer-premises equipment. Install, analyze, configure and troubleshoot a variety of RF and IP/Networking equipment associated with SATCOM hubs. Operation of SATCOM hubs, including initial system configuration, performance monitoring, analyze statistical data, and resolve complex system problems. Interface with customers and other Viasat support staff in a highly professional and effective manner.
