McAfee Endpoint Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • · Work with the Lead McAfee Engineer to support all aspects of the design and successful installation of one or more instances of McAfee ePO suite including McAfee Agent, McAfee Policy Auditor (PA) and McAfee Application Control (AC)
  • · Take guidance from the Lead McAfee Engineer to assist with the activities related to the onboarding of customers to the solution, ensuring correct and complete data is collected by ePO and supplied to a data integration technology
  • · Assist with the development of the design and implementation of the solution to ensure proper data transfer
  • · Provide guidance to the operations and management team on addressing software compatibility issues with the Agency endpoints. Serve as the liaison between McAfee and the solution team to address issues escalated to McAfee OEM support
  • · Provide technical support for the McAfee solution including monitoring performance of application, ensuring accuracy of data feeds to the Integration layer technology to include troubleshooting performance issues with ePO, PA, AC and SQL
  • · Work with the Lead McAfee Engineer to implement new ePO / PA / AC versions when they are released. Validate data feeds and proper functionality after deployment
  • · Review known issues published by McAfee and identify potential impact the solution
  • · Provide assistance to the Tenable/Nessus engineering team to assist with the collection of similar data using Tenable
  • · Create application documentation, drawings, how-to guides and other deliverables for both training and tool maintenance. Prepare technical designs with Visio diagrams and detailed descriptions.

· Provide briefings to customers regarding architectural best practices on an as-needed basis


Basic Requirements:

  • · 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • · 3+ years of hands on experience with the design and implementation of McAfee ePO suite of products, especially Policy Auditor and Application Control version 5.3.3 or greater
  • · US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • · Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • · Strong analytical skills to enable effective troubleshooting
  • · Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016. Implementing McAfee agents on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and MacOS a plus.
  • · Experience with 3rd party tool integration using McAfee API
  • · Experience with FISMA, NIST, security standards
  • · Knowledge of integrated security system architecture
  • · Core competency of network design concepts and operation
  • · In-depth experience with general IT security concepts, network security and monitoring practices/methodologies
  • · Experience/knowledge of security-based software applications and tools
  • · Experience presenting material to senior management level and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • · Experience with RSA Archer eGRC helpful

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
