Job Summary

WiseDesign is seeking an experienced Federal Government Business Development Manager to expand our market reach throughout the United States Federal Government. Key responsibilities for the Federal Business Development Manager include:

  1. Develop a strategy for marketing and selling WiseDesign and WiseWorks software, training, and consulting services
  2. Identify and qualify potential new customers
  3. Mature customer leads
  4. Use lead generation tools and opportunity tracking tools to grow the WiseWorks potential customer pool
  5. Identify promotional events, organize details, and represent WiseWorks
  6. Contribute to marketing and proposal materials
  7. Identify and maximize opportunities to position WiseDesign and WiseWorks as best in Class-in-Class Enterprise Architecture and business process modeling sectors.


Required Skills

  1. Have a natural ability for selling and building relationships with individuals and organizations
  2. Excellent persuasion skills, ability to spot opportunity, and drive to relentlessly follow up
  3. Ability to work independently
  4. Keen sense of using the Internet and personal contacts to connect with customers
  5. Problem solving and can-do attitude
  6. Patience and the ability to tactfully handle customer negotiations
  7. Strong oral and written communication skills
  8. Understanding of federal contracting methods


Experience and Qualifications

  1. 5 years or more in selling a software and consulting solution to the government
  2. Demonstrated track record of success
  3. B.S., B.A., or B.B.A. in a related field
