Reporting to the V.P. Worldwide sales, this individual will be responsible for developing sales and revenue growth opportunities in the U.S. Federal Sector and expected to execute on the following:

  • New account prospecting and opportunity development
  • Management and growth in existing Federal Agency accounts
  • New agency penetration examples, DOJ, CDC, Homeland Security, DOE, CDC
  • Develop a plan to work with ecosystem vendors and channel partners to identify new customer opportunities and to enhance Panasas offerings to the Federal marketplace
  • Develop and execute a sale plan to attain monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
  • Work effectively with assigned Sales Engineer to gain approval for evaluations and awareness of Panasas technology and its benefits
  • Timely and accurate use of forecasting tools (Salesforce)

The successful candidate for this job will be a customer facing Federal sales professional that has had demonstrated success in developing opportunities and effectively managing them through all stages of the sales process. Must possess experience and knowledge of government regulatory formalities, contract vehicles, procurement processes, FedBizopps, etc. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated business acumen that is focused on creating value and return for investment through a deep knowledge of solution positioning in HPC storage, Enterprise Compute and or related complex technical solutions.

Experience/Qualifications Preferred:

  • 5+ years of successful Federal Enterprise Compute or HPC Storage experience
  • Ability to execute a value based selling motion with current customer and prospects
  • Demonstrated consistent achievement meeting or exceeding sales objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong operational and teamwork skills
  • Have network of contacts in the Federal market/ecosystem
  • Success developing strategic partnerships and working with Federal Systems Integrators
  • Experience with remote team configurations for sales and support
  • Desire to work in a growing, dynamic, and competitive environment
  • Willing and able to travel as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS or equivalent degree
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
