Fastener Sales – Account Manager

The Account Manager is a position that proactively prospects, sells, and develops relationships with customers in the automotive industry. Responsibilities are performed using independent judgment and with general management direction to meet strategic goals. This position works remotely in the Detroit-Metro market and reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a market strategy that identifies targets of opportunity to successfully develop new customers and products
  • Prospect and sell all company lines of business to targeted accounts
  • Manage some key established customer accounts
  • Grow the territory with new customers
  • Turn RFQ’s into quotes and quotes into orders

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Business, Engineering or technicaldegree or equivalent workplace experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experienceselling Fasteners to the automotive industry
  • Must have well-established network of prospects
  • Must be currently selling to big Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to deliver both technical and commercial presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Micro Soft Office
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere alongside Engineering and Operations
  • High energy with a positive attitude
  • Ethical person with a high degree of personal integrity
