Position Summary: The Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a national leader in innovative clinical care and teaching, is seeking to fill two fixed term track research faculty openings. The focus of these positions will be on conducting interdisciplinary research within areas related to primary care, health services, health policy and population health. We seek candidates who will join the department’s growing research team in seeking to enhance care for vulnerable and underserved populations and to influence policy decisions around issues related to primary care practice. Successful candidates will demonstrate the capacity for high-quality research, teaching, and clinical care (depending on qualifications), and will be expected to publish in top-tier academic/medical journals. Securing grant funding is expected. These faculty openings will be an integral part of our growing research team. Education Requirements: PhD in related field with the completion of one or more post-doctoral fellowships or an MD/DO with an MPH or PhD. Research training in health services research, evaluation of health care interventions, clinical trails, public health, health policy, population health, or a closely related field.
