Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a First Shift Facility/Mechanical Engineer to join our Clyde Operations. Overall, in this role you will be providing mechanical engineering services to process engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing for new projects, process equipment modifications, and manufacturing/maintenance requests for facility improvements and repairs


  • Plans and implements the design changes of plant, offices, and production lines in order to maximize the use of available space and improve production efficiency.
  • Estimate costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc. and monitors the construction process.
  • Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project
  • Develop CAD project drawings and review drawings from junior team members for accuracy
  • Drive multiple individual or team projects for implementation
  • Develop yearly projects to support facility improvements for factory five-year plan
  • Subject matter expert for Division on changes to building design
  • Manage capital & expense budgets
  • Weekend/holiday work may be required do to implementation of facility projects


  • Associates degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology and 7+ years engineering experience or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology and 3+ years engineering experience
  • 5+ years project management experience
  • 5+ years AutoCAD software and drafting procedures


  • World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience
  • Outstanding people skills, with the ability to lead teams without a direct reporting relationship
  • A self-starter with excellent project management skills and the ability to support a 24-hour operation
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication skills allowing you the ability to work across multiple shifts
  • Conveyor design, implementation, and tooling experience
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and safety requirements
  • Knowledge of engineering principles for building design (structural, roof systems, foundations, and utilities), machine design and installation, hydraulic/pneumatic design and installation
  • Excellent prioritization and project development skills
  • Familiar with local, state, and federal industrial codes
