As a Staff Facility Mechanical Engineer at ON Semiconductor, you'll be directly responsible for driving site cost savings through improvements to the building utility mechanical systems in support of a semiconductor wafer fab operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption. Candidate should be innovative and possess a thorough understanding of industrialmechanical system design; including HVAC, high purity water, chemical delivery, gas distribution, industrial exhaust, effluent treatment, and controls.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Analyzing facility systems for optimization and incorporation into site growth planning.
-Providing risk analysis of critical facility systems and developing recommendations for mitigating.
-Managing project and equipment installations from inception through completion including providing site coordination and direct contractor oversight during the construction phase.
-Development of fiscally efficient project specifications, budgets, design / bid documents, and schedules.
-Documenting and communicating sequence of operations associated with site mechanical systems.
-System commissioning, testing, adjusting, and balancing.
-Provide technical support to the Facilities Maintenance & Operations organization as the mechanical systems expert.
-BS degree in mechanical engineering or related field of study.
-Maine Professional Engineering License preferred but not required.
-12 years of mechanical systems experience.
-Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
-Proficient in project and time management.
-Comfortable in a leadership position when working within cross functional project teams.
