SUMMARY

Manage activities of� production operations. Responsible for planning, scheduling, strategizing and overseeing all production activities. Ensures that production meets overall customer satisfaction and quality requirements. Establishes and maintains effective communication with management, associates and customers. Responsible for effective and efficient planning and scheduling of associates and equipment to reduce bottlenecks and problems. Manage direct and indirect reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

? Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility by managing the Service Bureau printing operation which consists of laser/Xeikon printing on a 3 or 4-shift- 24/7 weekly schedule.

? Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives by hiring, terminating, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees and planning, monitoring, and appraising employee performance for determination of promotions and/or annual merit increases.

?Responsible for maintaining a safe manufacturing operation, which consistently produces quality products, with low spoilage, and high productivity.

?Responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures to improve manufacturing efficiencies, and achieve and exceed departmental goals and objectives.

? Monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met through

production of high quality products that meet customer delivery expectations.

? Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

? Coordinate and manage all inventory supplies to ensure minimum waste and spoilage.

? Ensure preventative maintenance of all production equipment.

?Travel to other facilities or corporate headquarters required on an as-needed basis.

?Other duties as assigned by management.

? Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

? Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.

? Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience

?Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or industrialtechnology and/or minimum of 10 year�s previous production management experience in digital printing industry required.

? Minimum of 10 years� previous management experiencerequired.

? Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as;

Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement required.

? Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products

(Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends. Previous experience in ERP

system required.

? Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.

? Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.

? Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.

? Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations,

maintenance and engineering.

? Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.

? Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.

? A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.

? Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

? Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises 20-30 direct and indirect employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
