Overview:
Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install assembly and production equipment, heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install assembly and production equipment, heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems.
- Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods
- Possess working knowledge of manufacturing process water systems
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes
- Meet with end users to design and coordinate requested work
- Provide or obtain quotes for requested work
- Managing and overseeing contractors for project work
- Completes all work orders, preventive maintenance sheets, and repair logs to reflect work performed.
- Call out list rotation to respond to afterhours emergencies
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule as needed
- Follows all safety guidelines in working on machinery or in facilities (ex. Lock out/tag out)
- General housekeeping of work area, storage areas and company vehicle
- Regular participation in company safety and continuious improvement programs
- Other maintenance and/or facilities projects as assigned

What your background should look like:
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing process systems
- NC Plumber’s license is a plus
- Fire Sprinkler Maintenance License (or willingness to obtain)
- Back flow preventer certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with NC State and local Plumbing Codes
- Ability to read blue prints, drawings and single line schematics
- Possess mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties
- Must be proficient in the English language
- Must be willing to work with others in a team environment
- Valid NC driver’s license with clean driving record
- Willingness to travel <20% per month
