Facilities Space Planner / Project Manager 

SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for day-to-day interactions with the site’s business groups on solving space issues and move requests, ensuring accuracy of space allocations and supporting the campus planning activities. Creating short-term occupancy and utilization strategies/tactical plans at the building and site level. This position will also be responsible for maintaining accurate HC and space database information. Acting as a project manager for facilities based projects primarily focused on workplace & employee wellness improvements will also be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Space planning ownership for 1600 employees at the Greensboro site (office space, labs, and buildings)
  • Creating occupancy and utilization strategies/plans at building and site level
  • Project manage facilities projects that improve the employee work environment
  • Coordinate office/lab relocations while strong relationships with business unit customers
  • Develop and integrate space management tools, processes, standards and policies to improve efficiencies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree in a related discipline (Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities / Project Management etc.)
  • 5 years of office planning experience, including laboratory planning environment
  • Familiarity with building systems, codes, ADA requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD
