Assist with the analysis of policy and guidance for space management across the Air Force and other services for comparison. Support the development of a strategic plan for the institutionalization of the space management program for the AF. Assist with the comprehension of interrelationships between the AF space management program and Air Force strategic initiatives, including 2020 by 20/20, Freeze the Footprint, SRM business rules, NexGen IT, AMPs, and sustainable infrastructure. Support the analysis of space requirement data, space optimization studies, and development of MAJCOM and installation space management plans. Support the analysis of AF real property data in comparison to requirements to develop space optimization courses of action. Work under limited supervision with freedom for independent actions on assignments of moderate complexity to ensure efficient usage and accountability for space and facilities within the assigned plant area. Define requirements, select approaches, interface with all levels of management, outside contractors, and vendors, and use computerized programs for the analysis of requirements and tracking of projects.
-5+ years of experience with AF civil engineering, space planning, project programming, and construction planning
-Knowledge of DoD facilities management
-Ability to articulate to senior leaders through oral and written communication expertise
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree required
-BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or GIS preferred
