Position Overview

This position will be hired at a grade 14 or 15 depending on the skills, education and experience of the successful candidate.

The facility engineer will be involved with all project preparation work and all facility, utility and equipment aspects during the whole project cycle. In this position you will be responsible to manage, control and monitor all internal and external factors affecting the project success as they related to the facility


Conducts the pre-site checklists with customers to ensure the site has proper structure, water, power, connectivity, temperature control, operating procedures, and waste management systems prepared before product arrival.

Prepare the project as per the organization standards and procedure.

Monitoring and control of external Consultants / Specialists.

Deal with customers and clients and manage their expectations.

Report to the project management /program management all the projects status.

Implement quality management systems requirements related to the Projects and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.

Control and monitor the daily execution work in the project.

Review the outsource contracts and mange subcontractors.

Identify the project deliverables and provide input to the WBS. 

Claims and impact analysis.

Represent the organization in clients’ project meetings.

Prepare Risk assessment and risk management plan.

Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives

Set out, level and survey the site

Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations

Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications

Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect

Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.  

Minimum 5 years’ in construction/facility projects experience.

Min 3 years Project management experience PMP preferred

5-7 years of plant engineering experience (or equivalent).

Overall knowledge of electrical systems. Should possess analytical skills to determine electrical rate structure.

 Should possess some degree of negotiating skills to deal with contractors and consultants.

Computer skills (Management software and AutoCAD)
