Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, architects/engineers, and contractors
  • Managing and coordinating inspection staff
  • Managing project schedule from inception to close out
  • Running project job-site meetings
  • Reviewing contractor work in place to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Reviewing and approving of contractor monthly requisitions and invoices
  • Efficient change order management and cost control
  • Reporting on project issues and providing status updates
  • Perform other duties as may be required

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective leadership for managing field staff and mentoring field staff
  • Ability to take charge and effectively manage contractors to meet project schedule
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations with 10HR OSHA Safety card
  • The ability to work well with others, and willingness to learn in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills, experience w/ MS Windows Office, Primavera P6, etc.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in an increasingly responsible role
  • Professional Registration as a PE, RA and/or CCM is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with project costs and budgets

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Travel required.
