U.S. Bank is seeking a Facility Engineer with large site services support and Data Center experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. The Facility Chief Associate Engineer manages a facility engineering environment supporting one or more of the company's main data centers. May manage regional satellite data centers. Responsible for all site services. Coordinates and supervises the inspection, repair, installation, modification, and routine maintenance to all critical facility systems. Provides problem-solving and corrective action solutions related to all critical facility systems. Supports a work force of Plant Engineers. Works with management to develop, recommend, and implement departmental policy, guidelines, standards, and procedures. Assures compliance with all governing corporate standards and guidelines. Maintains and tracks current plant documentation, records, and drawings. Tracks performance to schedule and spend variance. Manages specific site related staffing requirements to include performance evaluations and site initiatives. Makes recommendations to the Chief Engineer regarding promotions and other personnel actions. Builds and maintains effective communication and relationships with management team, vendors, and peers. Develops and maintains interpersonal communication channels to convey information internally and externally. Supports the Chief Engineer, as required, with high-level engineering management tasks and activities, including 24/7 on-call coverage. Demonstrates skills, behaviors, and attitudes consistent with the strategic objectives and values of the organization. Follows all OSHA, safety, and environmental programs, including training and certification, to maintain compliance. Responsible for all site services including: electrical and mechanicaldistribution, power generation, cooling, UPS, automated building controls, and Fire/Life/Safety. Manages staff of up to 100 employees. Recommends: hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards and reviews. Plans, develops, and controls moderate to large project/product budgets. The Facility Chief Engineer level responsibilities also include managing 100+ employees and overseeing complex employee relations issues; approves management hires/transfers and salary adjustments; responsible for the planning, development and control of large, aggregate budgets for multiple projects/departments.
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 5 years experience with management approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.
-At least 5 years experience with the electrical engineering, maintenance, environmental, health, safety, energy, controls/instrumentation, civil engineering, and HVAC needs of a facility or plant.
